In less than 6 weeks, NUSEA's 3rd Annual Urban Squash Citizenship Tour will embark on its 8-day educational and athletic journey (July 6th - 13th) from New York City to Washington D.C. with a stop in Philadelphia. We have some exciting updates to share with you and hope you will be able to intersect with us when we are in your city.
We are thrilled to announce that our group will have the opportunity to meet Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan on Monday, July 11th. The meeting will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our 22 urban squash high school and college students and a historic moment for urban squash.
We would also like to invite you to events in New York City and Washington D.C. to meet our students, hear about our Tour travels, and engage generally with the urban squash community in each city.
On July 7th, we will host a hit-around at StreetSquash Harlem from 5:30 - 7pm, with welcome remarks by NUSEA Executive Director Tim Wyant. Our Washington D.C. events will include a July 11th hit-around at George Washington University from 5-7pm and a July 12th Citizenship Tour Reception at the University Club of Washington D.C. from 5:30 - 8pm. The reception feature a keynote address by Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett, Representative of the U.S. Virgin Islands and will be followed by a squash exhibition featuring World #149 Ahmad Alzabidi and World #205 Mubarak Mohsin.
